Summer reading list
If you are looking for a great reading list for those lazy summer afternoons, look no further. This is a short list of some of the books I have read and am currently reading that should make your summertime reading list. By the pool, on a cruise ship, or just in your favorite chair, these books will give you an edge.
And if you don’t think you have time to read most of these books are available as audiobooks.
Playing to Win
Great book on strategy, a classic. The illustrations are based on P&G and therefore give you a global perspective on strategy that can be modified for smaller enterprises.

The Amazon Way
This is the only book in this lineup that I haven’t read yet, but it is on my Kindle and my short list. I am looking forward to picking up a few great ideas from this book.
[UPDATE] I have since read several chapters from this book, but haven’t finished it. If you want to know what life is like working for amazon then this book is good. The lessons are applicable to any business environment. I still recommend it.

The 10X Rule
Absolutely motivating. Great read. I’ve listened to this at least twice and will probably listen to it again. I tell people I recommend this one to that Grant wrote my book before I got to.

Crucial Conversations
This one is a life saver. This book not only identifies some of the mistakes we make when we try to communicate under duress, but it gives solid ways to mitigate those mistakes.
I’ve recommended and given this book to clients. It should be in your library if you are a leader.

The Power of Habit
This book was intriguing. So much of what we do is based on habit. This book will help you identify the triggers for behavior and how to change destructive habits and create new constructive habits.
