OVERVIEW

When we entered the picture, this established, well-known non-profit organization hadn't hit their primary targets for a minimum of 5 years. Employee morale and engagement were waning as was productivity. With all of these factors in play, it was decided that we would work at every level of the organization. The engagement was to coach the CEO, work with the leadership team, and conduct trainings for the entire company.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Due to the nature of the engagement and all of the elements that needed to be addressed we recommended that we work with the CEO, the CEO and the leadership team, and the entire organization for the duration of the engagement.

This approach enabled us to accelerate the speed changes were discussed, implemented and adopted. 

Through monthly workshops we worked with the entire organization to reinvigorate and re-engage each employee. The entire organization was propelled forward by a common vocabulary and purpose.

We served as trusted advisors to the CEO and helped her unify and refocus the leadership team on the organization’s mission, vision, and goals. This led to an increased sense of purpose and urgency.

We assisted the CEO in crafting and casting a compelling vision that further aligned the entire organization. In this culture of accountability leaders were empowered to engage in renewed ways.

When we entered the picture, this established, well-known organization had fallen into a slump. The management team was ineffective and team meetings were irregular and not productive. There was a lack of accountability at all levels of the organization and interpersonal conflicts were beginning to emerge.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Due to the nature of the engagement and all of the elements that needed to be addressed we recommended that we work with the EVP, the EVP and the leadership team, and the entire organization for the duration of the engagement.

This approach enabled us to accelerate the speed changes were discussed, implemented and adopted. 

We worked with the EVP to institute consistent leadership team meetings, increase rapport between leaders, break down organizational silos, and open communication channels.

We conducted training for the entire organization which engaged employees at all levels by augmenting their current skill sets and giving them a common vocabulary.

Our work with this organization helped them clarify their core values and blend them into the culture in a way that has impacted recruitment, retention, increased employee engagement, and morale.

OVERVIEW

When we entered the picture, this established, well-known organization was struggling to keep good employees because of a senior leader's leadership style. Multiple employees in their exit interviews and unsolicited emails mentioned this leader as being a reason they left.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Due to the nature of the engagement we worked with this leader 1-on-1. We helped them to see their impact, move past reasons, rationalizations, and excuses and take ownership.

We clarified the desired outcomes and created a plan to achieve those outcomes. 

Within 2 months the leader's supervisors shared: "We can see a difference in the overall mood [in our locations]. We're happy with the decision we made [to bring in] an independent expert."
